Original Oil Paintings:
A group of forty paintings, produced by artist, Ted Coney on the theme
of family life and family relationships. Most of the paintings are oil
on canvas, though there are some examples of painting on glass, wood
and Ivorene.
Family History
Ted Coney has been making paintings about his family for many years. He
often uses his immediate family of wife and three children to make his
images, though sometimes he finds stories from earlier generations to
develop his ideas.
Ted Coney Artist And Teacher
Ted Coney has been painting for forty years and was Head of Art and
Design at Hills Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge for over thirty.
His work has often appeared in mixed shows and open studios but this is
the first time that all his work has been exhibited together.
Waterside, Ely
Situated in the historic city of Ely, Cambridgeshire, is the home of
Ted and Hazel Coney, a 300 year old cottage close to the River Ouse.
Ely boasts a world famous cathedral as well as good spread of museums,
